I have a handful of shows, most of them rather similar:
Monday - "Castle", "Pawn Stars" Tuesday - "Body of Evidence" Wednesday - "Criminal Minds" Thursday - "Bones", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" (but I am thinking it will be good if "Private Practice" is not renewed for the 2011-12 season) Friday - Saturday - nothing Sunday - "Celebrity Apprentice" (that just ended three days ago)
Now that the 2010-11 season is ending, more than half of these shows are off. Now there is nothing to watch. Summer shows are at a premium. Let me see... it looks like "Drop Dead Diva" will be returning on 19 June; "Eureka" returns on 11 July (that's not too long a wait...); "White Collar" returns on 7 June; and I can't think of any other summer-airing shows I watch.
This is a family that was on Nanny 911, the precursor to Supernanny, which airs on Wednesday nights. While Supernanny is a better production and leaves out some of the dopey American-isms of stupidity (such as the opening scene with a much older nanny head whose television showing the family and their issues turns around into a painting on the wall), this show has its value. These families are clueless or don't bother to try and definitely need help. This family is an exception in that the mother couldn't care less what the monsters do and will do anything to mollify them. The father is more consistent and definitely takes a much more disciplinary stance, but the mother undermines it at every step of the way. The two boys are so unbelievably rude, I'd've killed them where they stood. The little girl only wanted a moment of attention and was not doing anything negative, and the mother was awful to her. The nanny, Nanny Stella, spent the first day observing. When she sat d…
Every breaking wave on the shore Tells the next one "there'll be one more" And every gambler knows that to lose Is what you're really there for
Summer I was fearless Now I speak into an answer phone Like every fallen leaf on the breeze Winter wouldn't leave it alone, alone
If you go... If you go your way and I go mine Are we so... Are we so helpless against the tide? Baby, every dog on the street Knows that we're in love with defeat Are we ready to be swept off our feet And stop chasing every breaking wave?
Every sailor knows that the sea Is a friend made enemy Every shipwrecked soul knows what it is To live without intimacy
I thought I heard the captain's voice But it's hard to listen while you preach Like every broken wave on the shore This is as far as I could reach
If you go... If you go your way and I go mine Are we so... Are we so helpless against the tide? Baby, every dog on the street Knows that we're in love with defeat Are we ready to be swept off our feet And stop ch…
