Sunday Seven #292

Continuing with the celebration of National Doughnut Day, which was on Friday, I present a doughnut-themed version of the Sunday Seven. (And no, I still haven’t managed to get a doughnut.)

I found this list of the top 10 doughnut flavors or topping. Your favorites may or may not be on the list, but this time around, I just wanted to get you started. You can go off the list if you wish: any topping, any style, any filling, any flavor that works for you can go on your list.

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:
Name your favorite doughnut varieties.

OK, here is the problem with doughnuts. They give me the worst agita. However, when the family who has been rescued from a burning house feeds one doughnuts after four or more hours on that call, you'll eat them. So here they are:

7. Rainbow sprinkles

6. Pink icing

5. chocolate icing

4. jelly center

3. jelly center with powdered sugar

2. cinnamon

1. Bavarian cream chocolate covered (YUM!)

They are all good, but the price I pay rarely makes it worthwhile. However, like I said, under the right circumstances, you'll eat them. I will, anyway.

An Interesting Wife Swap...

I'm catching up on our Wife Swap recordings. I'm watching the epiode Burroughs/Padovan-Hickman one that aired on 17 April 2009. The one I watched just before was really quite satisfying - the families both learned a lot and seemed to really take it to heart. This one, however, is back to the familiar mold of putting families that are so totally diametrically opposite families together that they almost can't get along. This is interesting, though, because the Padovan-Hickmans have electricity but don't use it, don't flush often, go for a week without showering and then the whole family uses the same bathwater... I can see where that would be hard, especially for me in that I have very oily skin and hair and would look rather wretched after the next day. But the family themselves are very likable and fun, the father looks more like a kindly grandfather, but really is quite intelligent and pleasant. I would have trouble with the clean thing and I'd miss my iPod
