Really Pissed About St. Peters Roman Catholic Church
We had a call last night for a patient at the Saturday night mass at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany. The poor patient, very sweet, was having some pain. We showed up, got in to the patient and began a rapid assessment.
I had noticed when I came in with a woman who'd been waiting outside with us that the priest had not so much as hesitated or slowed in his sermonizing to the waiting masses. While we were trying for a blood pressure, I heard a funny pop sound and realised that the stops on the organ had been pulled but before I could verbalise it, the organist began banging away at the stupid pipe organ and Mike could not hear the patient's bp too well.
As we worked on the patient and loaded him up to go, I noticed with increasing dismay that the clergy and the participants and viewers alike showed no interest in us or the patient. It was really quite shocking and not just a little sleazy. So this is the spirit of love that Catholics espouse but clearly don't practice.
Nice.
