If you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go? Hawaii
What color is your bathroom? Upstairs, main bathroom: green and blue; ensuite bath: brown; downstairs half bath: red, black and white (or, as I like to call it, Spanish bordello), downstairs ensuite: white, tan.
Where would you retire? Palm Springs, California
Most memorable birthday? My 40th!
Favorite sport to watch? The only sporting events I will deign to watch is the Olympics.
Are you a morning person or a night person? Early morning; I'm a daylight person
Shoe size? 8 American, 38 European
Pets? I had two cats up until 6 June, now I have one cat.
What did you want to be when you were little? An astronomer
What is your favorite candy? Smarties
What is your favorite flower? Hmmmm. I don't know.
What is a day on the calendar that you are looking forward to? Wednesday, 14 October, the official close to the 2008 golf season.
What are you listening to right now? The movie The Secret of Roan Inish.
What is the last thing you ate? Hummus and chicken tika.
Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? Ray
Celeb hair you covet? I'm quite fond of my own hair.
One of your favorite school teachers? Mr. Yates, my high school art teacher.
When was the last time you cried? Tonight, watching The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
What did you do last night? Watched the telly then remade the bed and went to sleep.
Favorite smell? Any one of the many candles I have! Pine tree smells.
What are you afraid of? Spiders. I don't know why, I just am.
How many cities have you lived in? Uh, well... I have never lived in a city.
How many kids do you want? Zero.
If I were a billionaire I would? Buy the ambulances from the town to ensure we stay an active volunteer squad.

If you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go? Hawaii, Alaska, Scandinavia, Australia - the Northern Territory, Tahiti, the Arctic, Peru.
What color is your bathroom? yellow and white
Where would you retire? Some intelligent tropical island... maybe Martinique, maybe Tahiti. I´d have to go to a couple of them first, then I´d make up my mind. :)
Most memorable birthday? Many years ago my father would take me for a dinner in a really expensive restaurant and give me a bouquet of pink roses... I didn´t care a lot back then but nowadays I keep thinking, if I only had one more birthday like this! :)

Are you a morning person or a night person? Used to be a night person but for some time now I am a morning person and like it more.

One of your favorite school teachers? Mrs Krůtová who used to say "Miss Tampierová, you have such a beautiful name and you don´t know anything, again." and also "Open the windows, I can smell the smell of your snacks." She was totally insane, even for a teacher. :)
When was the last time you cried? Some years ago.
What did you do last night? Slept, badly, because I had one coffee with my mother... i.e. I fell asleep very very late and woke up too early and didn´t have enough sleep as a result.
Favorite smell? Freshly cut wood, grass, water... lavender, streets in the evening after a very hot day... rain, storms.
What are you afraid of? Being in a hospital, not being able to get out.
How many cities have you lived in? One.
How many kids do you want? None.
If I were a billionaire I would? Move away from my country the next day.

An Interesting Wife Swap...

I'm catching up on our Wife Swap recordings. I'm watching the epiode Burroughs/Padovan-Hickman one that aired on 17 April 2009. The one I watched just before was really quite satisfying - the families both learned a lot and seemed to really take it to heart. This one, however, is back to the familiar mold of putting families that are so totally diametrically opposite families together that they almost can't get along. This is interesting, though, because the Padovan-Hickmans have electricity but don't use it, don't flush often, go for a week without showering and then the whole family uses the same bathwater... I can see where that would be hard, especially for me in that I have very oily skin and hair and would look rather wretched after the next day. But the family themselves are very likable and fun, the father looks more like a kindly grandfather, but really is quite intelligent and pleasant. I would have trouble with the clean thing and I'd miss my iPod
